Hospital buildings differ significantly from general public buildings in several key aspects, including high energy consumption, strict safety standards, complex workflows, and stringent requirements for both indoor and outdoor environments. Currently, China's hospital buildings face two major challenges: high energy consumption and suboptimal indoor environmental quality.
In the Evaluation Standard for Green Hospital Buildings, energy efficiency and indoor environmental quality account for 55% and 45% of the assessment criteria, respectively, during both the design and operation stages. Therefore, achieving high efficiency, energy savings, and a high-quality indoor environment is essential for attaining high-star green healthcare buildings.
